Junior type – follow up

Juniors are exploring typographic hierarchy, form and composition along with connotative and denotative interpretations for their Contemporary Perspectives Lecture Series posters.

Yesterday, junior type class raised discussions about content and context informing each other in a creative process. Should designing a poster for contemporary designers associated with a definable aesthetic, follow their style or not? Can Swiss modernist stand for Avant-garde/deconstruction? Where (and how) do we  define the line between new interpretation and missed opportunity?

Can’t wait to see their final pieces!
